Worlds worst roomtour... And a scrapbook layout

It's not easy to have time for scrapbooking and writing daily in your Fauxbonichi when you work, have problems to sleep and have a family...
And this crappy scraproom... It could be much worse and I'm quite content but my hubby hates it. Always have opinions what it looks like. Too much stuff he thinks. Well, if I didn't have to have the piano, the other instruments and all the books and ringbinders with important paper in it would be looking... at least at little bit better. ;)

Today my plan is to show you my messy Råskog cart. Yes, you English speaking people, if you say the word rawskoog you will be closer to how you pronounce that name than if  you say Raskog. And I'm expecting you to correct my English ;)

At first a full body shot of my Råskog. LOVE this colour. Unfortunately my room's so full that I don't have a perfect Place for it, and I have to be able to move it too. So my Alex unit and the Råskog are moving backward and forward depending on whom I need. Most of the time I take a couple of steps to reach my stuff in the Råskog instead of moving it. What to do you Think of my grandmas piano? She's in a nursinghome now and when she left her house I got the piano. It needs to be tuned...

In the bottom I have my few enamel dots in one bin and my dies in another bin. I do not have that many dies eather.
In the front I have two Bygel. One with my staples and the one to the left with my Distress inks.

The middle floor contains some random paperframes which are VERY old and i suspect that they will never be used. Then theres a ziplockbag with some diecuts from a brand I do not remember... I also have my Collection of colour samples from a paint store.
I also have Bygel bins with my spatulas, my Gesso, Glossy Accents, Colour Shines, emossing stuff, some of my brushes, tools and my Paint daubers there.

And here comes my favourite shelf. Or is it the bottom shelf? Hard decision. The shelf of my Project Life cards. The shelf of my memoriebelias from this years Turkey trip.  (It will take a hundred years until I scrap them...) I do not have that many Project Life cards but I've ordered one more core kit for the crop in the middle of this month. And I havn't even started with my PL-album...

I wounder, if anybody who's going to crops is reading this, how do you decide what to be doing there and what to bring? I've made a list of things I can do and what I should bring, but it becomes alot! I need to bring myh whole scraproom. And I made an order in july on stuff that I would bring to this crop, but now I'm  not sure that  they will get here till then. I'm a newbie when it comes to crops. Should I do packages with kits for the phótos I bring with me, or should Igo with cardmaking, or should I go with the PL style in which I intend to to my wedding album??? I don't know!

This last week I've only made one layout. Been going to my scraproom just staring at my layout on my desk and then I've walked away. Been to tied. But now it's done!

I'm letting them be this big cause I love the pics of my kids!

I've used the poolside Collection, cardstock from my stash, paint dauber, sequnce from my stash, I am Collection, I sewed. ´The letters are from the Fitzgerald and the So Fancy Collections. And goldletters whith I bought from a Swedish Craftcompany.

And by the way, Galna Ungar means Crazy Kids...

Have I nice week! I Will work on Thursday and then I will be free for a couple of Days.

Canary Islands a long long time ago

I guess I'm not alone having photos since the 19'th Century to put into albums? So glad I've finally made it to December 2010. Pictures from my familys journey to Playa del Ingles together with my best friend Katarina and her family. When I see the pictures I can't belive how small our kids were...

There havn't been alot of time to scrapbook (put my photos into albums). But at least three pages have been done.

Doiles, crepe paper, a couple of different papers, puffy stickers, Wood vinears and a lovely Heidi Swapp paper. A frame that I backed with a 6 x 6 paper from an unknown stack turned out just Lovely. A tag with butterfly with some wink of Stella on the butterflies made it perfect. Unfortunately it's not possible to see in that pictures. (A camera is added to my wish list...) I've learned that you're supposed to cover the faces that you've not permission to show, that's why there are papers in some photos... (sorry, family, havn't asked you)

The second LO i finished this week was an eveníng photo from the barbecuenight.

I'm so sorry!!! I really don't understand why the computor insists on turning some photos like this!!! I've tried to put it in "the wrong direction" from the start but then the picture ends up here the way I've saved it to the computor, and then I turn it like I want to, and than it turns up here the same way as I've saved it. It obviously wants to be shown like this the *###?+?+ -picture... ("cursing" -picture)
It's a little bit of everything in this LO and I like it. That background paper from Heidi is just lovely!

As you probably notice we do not write the dates in Sweden as you do abroad; we put the year first, than the month and than the date.

This third layout is from our bustrip to the beach. Two little kids who just can't stop laughing. It was so funny cause our whole time in the Canarian Islands it was the two boys, my youngest and Katarinas youngest, who never stopped chatting and laughing but during this bustrip it was my son and Katarinas daughter who stood for the entertainment.

In Swedish:
bus= mischief
buss=bus
So in Swedish buss with one "s" within bracets makes the title actually pretty fun...

                                                        My one and only son.

When I scrap I most of the times have the intention to use one "brand" but I Always end up mixing all kinds. In this LO there is Heidi, Crate Paper and Simple Stories for example. If there's anything you want to know, just ask!

                                                         This is my lovely daughter.

Tonight I've been at a lecture about colorectalcancer. I love when we have the opportunity to learn more about the diseases we have in our ward, about the new treatments and an update on what happens in our bodies when that kind of disease strikes someone. There are so many kinds of cancer so you need to get a reminder every now and then of the different types.

I know that the ones who are sick and their families Think that there aren't enough treatements but compared to 10-20 years ago the treatments are so much better!!!
And don't you think "it's easy for you to say", I've been a "family" too. I know how you feel when you wait for the test results and when your family is during treatment. When you wait for the result of how the treatment went.
I know. It's a hell.

But we're lucky to live these Days. If we get sick our odds are better. And the odds are getting better with every new treatment that comes.

Today, layouts. I didn't get anything out from my room, this week either. But that's because I didn't put that first, my room isn't that big and neither is my stock...

If someone reads this, and wants to see something special, like my floor or my balalaika, just tell me!
Have a nice weekend! I will spend my at work.

To challenge yourself - a card challenge

Making cards to others is fun! Birthday or Christmas or whatever. But when you know that the person who shall receive it doesn't like the colours you like? So I found my self sitting with the colours trying to get them together in a card for my sister in laws 40'th birthday. I had to change it over and over again and thought that I would never make something I would be able to send.

I was smart; i wrote to my sister and asked her which her wifes favourite colours are. And if she has a
"I hate colour". Orange, yellow, green (and I kind of thought that minty green wouldn't count as her favourite green) and red. Red I've used before but the other ones aren't my favourite colours. I sat with the card for three days before and after work. But i finally got it in the mail quite content what I'd made with something that I found hard to use. Yes, it's good to challenge yourself every now and then. So I did that again, challenge me I meen... I'll get back to that.

I bought a cardstock, green on one side and green with white daisys on the other side. I stamped around the edges with green flowers and I died cut a piece of the cardstock and embossed it in by Sissix with the beehive pattern. Yes, I don't know what you call it and it doesn't say on the package. It's from Mariannes design. And then I die cutted red and yellow cardstock which I layered oo top. Stamped the banderole (OLD Dictionary beside me), stamped and fussy cut flowers and diecut some leaves. I used foamtape inbetween the layers. Her name i die cut to and layered on narrow washi. it doesn't show that well in the Picture but I used diffrent greens and yellows. The red one I bet you can see. ;)

In the inside I stenciled butterflies with my Heidi stencil. Unfortunately it got horrible when i used acrylic paint. I put Wink of Stella on them but you can't see that in this bad photo. Die cut oakleaves (perfect with red, yellow and orange since it matches the season outside and i die cut a flower with flowerdie from Maggie Holmes. I layered it with foamtape. Then I made a flipcard that I used an edge punch around. Which you can't see because of my lack of photography scills... And because of the same lack you can't se that I wrote "Grattis Mia" (means congratulations Mia ;) ) with watercolour. That is one of my new I-love-to-do-thingies. (I so wish English was my first language or at least better so I could express myself the way I want...)

And here comes Another example of what I can't do. I used Pic Frame to turn the Picture around and downloaded it to my computor, but then when I downloaded that correct picture it turned up side down again. Tried and tried and then i thought I could fool the computor or at least this blogsite by downloading the up side down picture. But no, no, no. So I gave up. I'm giving you the possibility to try your self to se how good you are to see what's in an up side down picture. I will only mention that I once again wrote with water colours and that yellow cardstock I embossed in my Sissix and then die ut. And some of the bumpy patterns i coloured in with...
green, yellow, orange and red.

Of cause I had to play with the envelope. Can't send a homemade card in an ordenary white envelope, can you ;) Stamped, stamped and stamped. (That is: played, played and played.)

There havn't been done alot in my little scrappy place the last couple of weeks. Been working alot since we have had sick colleagues and colleagues who has started to study that we've had to fill in for. And then when I'm home there has been those ordenary schoolmeetings, the kids activities and I've been lying on the couch with a hot wheat pad because of my backpain. I also have trouble when I'm writing cause if I've used my hand for some hours I loose control over my fingers. I have some nervs that get "squeezed" when I use my muscles after a whiplash injury almost 20 years ago.
But this backpain I have is a torture. My life really gets affected. Enough of that. It has sabotaged so much else for me and I wont let it sabotage my blog too!

The other day I stumbled across a new, fun way of making cards (not very new to the rest of the World, but to me, Little miss So Far Behind) A neverending card. I saw my chance of challenge myself again. I have a friend (who I learned to know through work about 100 years ago) that is not very fond of... "unclean" stuff. I thought she would throw up when she saw my homemade planner. :)
My mission; make a card that even she had to think was funny, and maybe even pretty.

I hope she'll like it at least.

My plan is to write something about my scraproom tomorrow, I tried to organize my dies, but in Sweden whole sheets of magnets is obvious something you'll find easy, unless you want to pay a fortune, so if someone in Sweden reads this, please tell me if you know where to find it!

I also have one or two layouts to share and if someone is interested in Fauxbonichi I can show that to. (That is, since I suspect that nobody reads this far, if reads my blog at all, I upload that if I have time)
Now I will spend the rest of my day setting up my golden Webster Pages journal. I'm making my own stickers, colour coded, to keep me and my family as organized as possible. Maybe I can show something of my planner to.
Till next time. Have a nice week!
